Kathy Smith & Mark Napier are pleased to bring you three Touring Ride In Rural Indiana® events in 2012. All events feature overnights at Indiana State Parks properties, professionally prepared meals, and plenty of Hoosier hospitality.

We are active members of the National Bicycle Tour Directors Association. We love to bike, and we love to share our favorite routes and destinations with you. We also love pie, and will go out off route (if necessary) for good pie on a ride. Fortunately, that's rarely necessary, because our routes are designed with good pie stops in mind.

Joe and Barbara Anderson began directing the original Indiana multi-day tour, Touring Ride in Rural Indiana®, in 1985. Kathy and Mark joined them in 2004 to assist with registration and other organizational details. The Andersons retired from their organizational responsibilities in 2011.

In 2011, we decided to experiment with the format of our original June event. We wanted something that would appeal to both new and experienced cyclists of all ages, still offered during the summer so it wouldn't interfere with school. Our first two June TRIRI® Rallies offered a series of themed loop rides over four days from a single Indiana State Park, with both inn accommodations and camping. In 2013, we will use two parks and offer five and a half days of riding.

We are proud members of the Bicycle Tour Network, a group devoted to developing and sharing best practices in bicycle event organization.
