Joe and Barbara Anderson, Kathy Smith, Mark Napier, the Bloomington Bicycle Club, the Indiana State Parks & Reservoirs, and the Indiana State Park Inns are pleased to bring you three Touring Ride In Rural Indiana® events in 2008. All events feature overnights at Indiana State Parks & Reservoirs properties, delicious, professionally prepared meals, Hoosier hospitality, and time to enjoy all that Indiana has to offer.
We are active members of the Bloomington Bicycle Club as well as the National Bicycle Tour Directors Association. We love to bike, and we want to share our favorite routes and destinations with you. We also love pie, and will go out off route (if necessary) for good pie on a ride. Fortunately, that's rarely necessary, because Joe designs our routes with good pie stops in mind. Mark's favorite flavor is tart cherry, Kathy's is butterscotch, Barbara's is chocolate cream or peach, and Joe's is apple.
Joe and Barbara have been directing the Touring Ride in Rural Indiana®, our original tour, since 1985. (Be sure to read about how TRIRI® began way back when.) Kathy and Mark joined the team recently to assist with registration and other organizational details. When you call the TRIRI® number with questions, you'll talk to Kathy. Mark is responsible for developing our online registration system and wading through thousands of digital photographs to compose the Week in Review DVD for TRIRI® and September Escapade™.
